Prerealease Events
If you are a beginner or a powerful opponent you might consider going to a prerelease. Prereleases are, as you may have guessed, releases of cards before they are for sale. At a prerelease, you get the following: 6 booster packs, 1 spindown life counter, 1 promotional card, and at least 1 prize booster pack. Your local Wizards Play Network store may have additional prizes so contact them for more information. At a prerelease you make a 40 card deck, you are able to have it with more cards, for example you could have a 60 card deck like in standard, but you might not have enough of the right cards to make a deck with over 40 cards, and don't worry about not having any mana, basic lands are usually supplied by your store, so you can just borrow them and give them back afterwards.
Prereleases are a wonderful way to make friends and learn the rules better!

Cards
At the top of your screen there should be the word, Cards. Click on it to see my posts on cards, I am going to have a post on a card everyday this week and after that I will go into having a card every week.

Black Lotus
Black Lotus is a Mono Artifact that costs zero mana to cast. It has been illustrated by Christopher Rush. Its ability does the following: Adds 3 mana of any single colour of your choice to your mana pool then is discarded. Tapping this artifact can be played as an interrupt.
This card costs around $4999.99, so it is rather expensive, the most expensive in the game in fact. There's one for your collection!
Hello
Hi guys, I am Karl, and this blog is about the trading card game, Magic: the Gathering, I hope you will enjoy reading my posts. This is a great game in my opinion, however it is not the easiest to learn, not really the hardest too learn either...
